For the King is a product created by a relatively new independent company known as IronOak which currently consists of only four people. The game was funded on Kickstarter in 2015 and it appeared on Steam a few months ago. Despite the fact that For the King is the first game created by IronOak, it gained a lot of popularity even before the release of the game. Mainly due to the fact that information provided by authors had shown that game was influenced by such games like Final Fantasy series and Ultima series.
